Upwards Basketball

The kids started basketball a few weeks ago. (Hence part of the reason that we are having crazy busy days. :) Dave and I are pretty picky about what our children get involved in, but I tell you we love Upwards Basketball. Last year Sarah did cheerleading and that was great, but this year she decided to play basketball. It has been so sweet watching she and Josh be a part of a team, learning the basics of the game in a safe environment and do lots of practice. (Sometimes they have practice games with friends or they go out and work with Daddy when he is home for lunch. They are improving a lot!) It is great to see. We also love that it is at a church and that most of the coaches are believers and they learn scripture each week and really encourage one another in the game. It is a neat program.

Sarah has been making some baskets for her team and learning all the basics of the game. Josh is #1 defender for his team. He is learning to go for those rebounds and then shoot it again!
