I'm not sure that adult birthdays are nearly exciting as children's, but we did have a very nice birthday for Dave yesterday. He turned 34 and we celebrated here at home with just our family. The children were waiting for him in the hall and when he came through the door, they ran down the hall singing "Happy Birthday" at the top of their lungs. They were so happy to have him home! Then a nice dinner and strawberry pie and then presents. :)
How we thank the Lord for giving us such a wonderful husband and father. He just exemplifies the love of Christ and how we all long to be like him.

It's hard to see - but this is the hallway where we were having Nerf gun battles after presents. (Although this picture is from a few days ago - they had battle stations and everything. It was very fun.)
