It's funny. When you first have children and your days are filled with diapers, sleepless nights and baby food, you think, "my child will never be THAT big." Then, overnight, your child is turning 12 years old. You look back and think, "all those people in the grocery store were right - it does go fast."
Our sweet Joshua turned 12 a few weeks ago. He is growing up so fast, so tall and he is maturing into such a sweet young man.
You can't read the pie, but it says "pi pie".

A few days after Josh's actual birthday, he wanted to have a birthday party as well. I have decided that 12 year olds have pretty easy birthday parties. (At least ours did!) He had a few friends over,and they played four square until dinner. Then we had some pizza and after dinner, the kids had a Nerf gun battle. Then they had some cake and ice cream and then played outside until time to go home. Very easy and very fun.
