OK, here goes nothing

Since we have had several people ask us for a blog, here goes nothing. Dave and I have 5 children all under the age of 9. Ours is a busy household where there are many things going on: Dave working at New Tribes Mission, Diane homeschooling three (or sometimes 4 - Sam is only 3) of the 5 children, smelly socks, dirty dishes and hugs, laughter and sometimes tears. Like I said, a busy household indeed. We are going to go on a little family vacation this weekend and we are very excited. I can write about it next week when we get back. :)

It seems that God has a sense of humor and He is teaching us to have one too. When Dave first joined NTM, he told the Lord he would go anywhere but Florida. And here we are in the Sunshine state. You know, it has been good, though. We are learning a lot and letting go of our comfort zones and learning to be thankful in many different situations and learning to trust. It has been stretching and hard at times, but good too. We are thankful for where the Lord has brought us and what he is teaching us.
